                                BASS TROPHY LODGE, MEXICO FISHING

TROPHY BLACK (LARGEMOUTH BASS

                                             REQUIREMENTS and SCHEDULE

We require 50% deposit upon booking and the remainder 2 weeks prior to trip.

If you bring your  boat, provide copies of titles for the boat title, motor title, trailer title or registeration, and vehicle title all in the same name along with a copy of your passport.

We will inspect documents and send detailed instruction back on WHERE and HOW to enter Mexico.  It takes about 1/2 hour to cross and we do not go through any border towns!

We can have a guide meet you at the border to help cross and ride back to camp. It is easy to cross because we give you a detailed map to our camp with actual pictures of each turn!.

The charge for guide to meet you at the airport to cross the border is $95.00 per group. (Three boats $32.00 each).

We suggest spending the night in Harlingen, TX. Cross the border at 9:30 a.m., once at Camp, around 2:00 p.m., we will help you unload and help you launch your boat.

Once you arrive at camp, you will order your food for the boat.

Dinner will be around 6:00 p.m. (varies depending on sunset).

We require you to use a guide on your first time on the Lake! After that it is up to you.

You will have a detailed map and we will provide a current satellite image of the lake showing exactly how it appears at the time of your visit. The Lake has varied 40 ft. in height over the last 6 years. Updated fishing areas will be provided.

If you don’t catch a bass over 10 lbs., we feel like we failed.

There will be a short orientation your first afternoon.

Time to go fishing.

Please forget the way you fish up north and try our way. Remember my way of explaining these fish- you catch knee fish here and if you do not get on your knees with a big one you will probably lose it. This is explained in the Tackle and Technique section.

You can come in from fishing at anytime, when you get up, whether it is 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Go to the restaurant and place your order for breakfast. Have some fresh fruit while you wait. Try our heavy whipping cream in your coffee. (Great)

At the Bass Trophy Lodge if you order ham and eggs for breakfast or Ham sandwiches for the boat, you will get ham cut from ham (There has never been a boneless ham, which is a fraud, your eating processed meat!) We DO NOT serve processed foods!!!

After breakfast, order what food you want for the boat that night.

Dinner again is at 6:00 p.m.

We do have a bar; however, there is a TWO (2) DRINK LIMIT IF YOU ARE GOING FISHING AT NIGHT! We offer margarias, beer, soft drinks, and water.

This is a FAMILY CAMP for fishing and relaxing only! Spouse and young adults are encouraged; however, these fish can take a great deal of strength to land, so we suggest around 14 years of age depending on the size of the young adults.

NOISE is a NO NO at the camp due to people sleeping at all hours (Day fishing and Night fishing)! We have a nice pool with a large pagoda for socializing, a restaurant, and a bar. (We try to separate day fishers and the night fishers whenever possible.)

We suggest pulling your boat out when you come in (we have a non-slip ramp). This is due to the lack of wind protection from one direction.
